Frequently Asked Questions

Starting therapy can bring up lots of questions. This page covers some of the most common queries people have when searching for a therapist in London. If your question isn’t answered here, please feel free to reach out.

  • For most clients, weekly sessions are the most effective way to see real progress. Meeting regularly creates a rhythm that helps keep the momentum going and ensures that the insights you gain in therapy can be applied right away. Ultimately, the frequency of sessions is a team decision based on your needs and goals. We'll check in regularly to make sure it's still the right fit.

  • Everything you share in therapy is completely confidential. Creating a safe, private space for you to speak freely is central to our work together. There are two exceptions to this:

    1. To provide the best support, I sometimes discuss my work with a trusted professional supervisor.

    2. If I believe you may be at risk of harm, I may need to take action to ensure safety. If that happens, I'll do my best to discuss it with you first.

If you have any questions about confidentiality, I'm happy to clarify.

  • How long therapy lasts depends on your unique needs, goals, and situation. Some clients come with specific challenges, like navigating a life transition, which may be resolved in a few sessions. Others face deeper issues, like chronic stress or trauma, that take more time to work through. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust as needed. The goal is always to help you make lasting, meaningful changes at a pace that works for you.

  • I see clients at The Practice Rooms, a therapy centre a 5-minute walk from London Bridge Station. The address is 2 Union Street, London Bridge, London, SE1 1SZ.

  • Yes, I offer sessions online with clients across the UK, Europe, and Asia. Our online sessions are completely confidential and secure. Because of insurance reasons, I'm unable to work with clients in Canada or the US.

  • I see clients Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (mornings to early afternoon) in-person at London Bridge, and Friday online. You can see my current availability here.

  • My session fees range from £90 to £115 for a 60-minute therapy session, whether in-person or online. I offer a sliding scale pricing model, so you can choose a rate that fits your financial situation. Initial consultations (30 minutes) are free.

  • Yes, I'm a registered provider with Aviva, AXA Health, and WPA. If you have coverage with one of these insurers, you may be able to claim directly. For other insurance providers, I'm happy to provide receipts for you to submit for possible reimbursement.

    • The UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Practice does not allow the use of testimonials. This protects client confidentiality and helps prevent an unbalanced power dynamic between therapist and client.
